Individual Therapy

You may feel tired of experiencing emotional pain, I am here for you. Together we will explore your experiences, values, and behaviors. I will balance a gentle approach with challenging to help you navigate your struggles. With new insight developed through therapy you will be able to identify patterns that hold you back from living a healthy and fulfilling life. Many of the people I work with carry bicultural identities, faiths, and complex family dynamics. You can learn more about my work with South Asians, Muslims and immigrant families in Texas.

Parenting

Parenting can be fulfilling and exhausting at the same time. The stress, the guilt, and the overwhelm that comes from being available on demand may lead you to feel like things are out of control. You and your kids may feel disconnected from one another. Additionally, the pregnancy, and postpartum period can have a tremendous impact on a parent’s ability to function and stay connected with the family. I’m here to help parents in Texas regain a sense of self than can get lost in the journey of parenthood. My goal is to help you engage in the process of growth, feel calmer and more confident as a parent, as well as restore peace and connection within your home.

Family Therapy

Being a therapist means knowing that even if I am working with an individual, the relationships around them have a monumental impact on them. At times our families can be the relationships we find most painful. I specialize in working with immigrant families in Texas to provide a space where all parties feel heard and seen. I help family members work through past hurts and develop effective communication skills to improve their relationships and rebuild peace within their homes.

Group Therapy

Walking this road can feel incredibly lonely. Group is a great place to get support from fellow peers who may be going through similar struggles as you. I lead groups to help members feel understood, practice the skills they may be learning in therapy within a safe environment, and both give and receive feedback from others in a compassionate way. Throughout my years of being a group facilitator I have seen tremendous growth in my clients who may have started at a place where were in despair and felt alone and ended in a place of self-awareness and gained confidence to create the life they were seeking.

I am committed to making mental health accessible, applicable,
and relevant for the South Asian & SWANA (Middle Eastern) Muslim communities.

In addition to my clinical work, I serve as an Adjunct Professor in mental health education, where I contribute to the training of future clinicians. My academic work is grounded in the same approach that shapes my clinical practice: centering cultural context, family systems, and the impact of intergenerational experiences on mental health.

I am passionate about expanding access to culturally responsive mental health education through speaking engagements, workshops, guest writing, and digital platforms. My work focuses on supporting South Asian & SWANA (Middle Eastern) Muslim communities, as well as individuals from immigrant and bicultural backgrounds, in understanding how patterns are shaped over time, and how they can begin to shift in more sustainable ways.

I collaborate with universities, organizations, and community groups seeking support with:

  • culturally responsive mental health training

  • South Asian and SWANA Muslim mental health education

  • intergenerational trauma and family dynamics

  • identity, belonging, and bicultural experiences

With over 9 years of experience working with diverse populations, along with my perspective as a mother, and someone who is bicultural and bilingual, I bring both clinical and lived context into the spaces I teach and speak in.

If you are interested in a workshop, training, or speaking engagement, or have questions about honorariums or community events, you’re welcome to reach out through the Contact Page

Collaborations

I often collaborate with magazines, apps, social media creators, etc. to make knowledge about mental health more accessible and relatable to people. My goal is to create healthy dialogue around mental health in an easy to absorb manner. I will work with you to just that. Let’s chat more about how we can work together.

Speaking

I truly value promoting mental health awareness to inspire people to create healthy lives for themselves, their families, and their communities. I have experience in TV, radio, podcasting, and public speaking with various organizations. We can work together and empower your audience to create healthy change. I can tailor fit the needs of your group. Let’s discuss how we can get started.
